This is just infuriating, why can't any-one die propperly in this. Just look at two of the episodes yesterday: First there's one of the seven angels die-ing, why, because of something involving a spell that HE KNOWS ABOUT! making his lethal blow back-fire on himself (of course that makes sense) Then, the biggest cop-out ever. Inuki (the wolf) dies in the last episode we saw, only (wait for it) to be reborn at the end of the episode, talk about a cheap trick! sorry It just really bugged me that the whoie sittuation seemed to serve no other purpose than to crudely evoke some emotions.

1. seishiro dies, but does indeed use an attack that he knew would bounce back on himself. why? because he wanted to be killed in battle with subaru, but subaru would not kill him (he wanted to die at seishiro's hands, did he not?). seishiro needed to attack in order to force subaru into a situation where he would die by his hands, as it were. in that attack where both of them rush towards one another, i don't think subaru would have attacked to kill (like kamui refusing to hit fuma in a place that would kill him) to try and trick seishiro into killing him. but seishiro wanted to die, so let himself. as i said in another post, subaru and seishiro were lovers (read tokyo babylon), and in their opposing roles as dragons of heaven and earth both wanted to die in battle with the other. seishiro takes his chance, and denies subaru his.
2. yeah, inuki was reborn, but this is a different inuki. yuzuriha is never going to be able to look at this inuki the same way as she did the old. if you think she's going to be like, "oh, it's ok, inuki's back" you're wrong. as far as she is concerned, inuki did die to protect her that day. this younger inuki is a constant reminder of the sacrifice the dog, her friend, who grew up with her made, and not just a replacement. that's like saying that when someone's pet dies, just get another one and they'll be fine.
3. daisuke died, isn't that enough? what about kyouga? and kamui's aunt? and kotori? why can't anyone die properly? i think you'll find they already have and will do.

it just bugs me a little, the first one i'll admit it's probably forgiveable mostly out of my ignorance of the sittuation, but as for the inuki thing...I'm sorry I can't forgive it, it just feels too much like cheap manipulation. Besides how long did my gold-fish live for, 8, 9 years maybe? It never gave me any deep emotional scars though I guess a pet wolf is a little differentto something with a memory span of only seven seconds

but yuzuriha was told that inuki would stay with her the rest of her life. seeing as she didn't die, inuki wouldn't either; inuki lives as long as she does. but as i said, inuki symbolically died, that's why yuzuriha never lets herself forget what he did, caused by the mistake she thought she made. that's why he comes back as a younger spirit; it's not entirely the same inuki to her. and his absence made her realise what he was to her, so allowed her to develop slightly as a person.

I'm sure she was told that inuki would be by her side all of it, inuki's life. No one said she'd keep on churning them out! Having said that, I kinda like inuki so any new inukis are good in my opinion

as far as i can recall (and this is the 3rd time i've seen the series), yuzuriha is told that inuki will stay by her for life, as in, yuzuriha's. bear in mind what i'm saying; this inuki is the same dog spirit that will live with her forever, but he experienced death to save her, and yuzuriha will never forget that. he is, at the same time, the same and a different inuki to her.
