ALCL - London's Anime Convention!

With a brand new far larger venue, ALCL is now a full-blown anime convention for over 800 people! It runs all day at the Rocket Complex (London Metropolitan University) on Saturday June 26th from MIDDAY TO MIDNIGHT! Pre-pay now at www.animeleague.com/london/registration.php and it is just £6 for all day entry! (It's £8 on the door for all day from midday onward, and JUST £5 on the door if you come from 8pm onward!)

Gargoyle In Virtue - Gargoyle In Virtue, or GIV for short, is a Gothic Electronic music project, inspired by the Japanese Visual Kei movement and Progressive Western sounds. Kizoku & Somegeezer create a dark and quirky world of Baroque imagery and over-the-top gothic stylings where aesthetics and music merge as one. WOTA London - The ever-popular WOTA London will be making a return to host and DJ's ALCL's party downstairs in the bar. Bigger and better than ever, there will be a VDJ(Video DJ) Performance from Piloru & namimo, with the Djumans again returning to kick some serious **** with their dancing moves! The party will run from 8pm to midnight. As a reminder, we offer a discounted entry on the door of just £5 if you arrive after 8pm, so make sure to come along!

It costs £6 to get in if you prepay, and you need to be 18 years or older. Accommodation is available at just £19.50 a night! On the day entry is £8 (but just £5 if you arrive on the day after 8pm)

LOTS FOR COSPLAYERS!
Cosplay Auction - The premise is simple - cosplayers are put up for auction, with the winning bidder getting the cosplayer for the evening party!
Cosplay Masquerade win £50 cash prize - A panel of judges will decide the winner. Please note that to be eligible for the grand prize your costume must have been made by you - if you bought it then you won't be eligible for the prize (but you'll still be allowed to enter the masquerade, of course!) So, get making those costumes, cosplayers!
The Cosplay Showdown - Prepare to gather your team of cosplayers to do a series of comedy skits for everyone to watch round by round. Start getting those teams together now folks - signups will be opening very shortly! Do you have what it takes to win the ultimate cosplay showdown? The final has two teams battling each other in a Final Fantasy RP style battle! YAY!
Cosplay Group Contest - Are you in a group of cosplayers? We have a trophy here for the best cosplay group to attend ALCL. More details to be announced.
Cosplay Garden - Want to get away from the hussle and bussle and chill out a bit more? Then go visit the cosplay garden area (you don't need to cosplay but it helps!) where you can sit down, relax, have a drink and chat with fellow attendees. There will also be improvised games going on, such as anime-twister and so forth. Maybe even a picnic!
Free Photo-shoot - A professional photographer will be taking photos of you and your friends in our photoshoot zone. Even better, it's free!
ARTISTS
Artist Alley - an entire room shall be set aside for artists! Set downstairs in the bar, this area shall contain tables for attendees to sit down and draw casually, an art wall for what you draw to be put up, art-related dealers, and a manga workshop which will be going on throughout the day!
Manga Workshop - Throughout the day from Midday right through to 6pm there shall be a Manga Workshop! This workshop shall be a collection of panels, talks and demonstrations designed to help teach aspiring artists skills and knowledge about how to draw and the manga industry!
Free Art Stalls - In the interests of supporting and building the UK manga community, art tables are given to aspiring artists and groups for free. Email us at info@animeleague.com if you're interested! (Note your work must be of a sufficently high quality to qualifty for a table)
Art Wall, Win a year's subcription on Deviantart - There will be an art wall where you can put up what you draw throughout the day and compete to be awarded the prize of best artist of ALCL!
