Bleach Naruto Sailor Moon S
That is all. I had a chance at home over the holiday to download more anime, but I couldn't think of anything, so I settled with getting the rest of Sailor Moon and most of the first series of Quantum Leap. I won't make that mistake at Easter (of not knowing what to download).

I need to get into Hell Girl... once my work finishes. I downloaded Tylor over the holidays, but haven't watched them yet. I also only included newer series that I finished in the past fortnight, but any ones before then were not listed.

Happy new year, all! (seems silly saying that 3/4 the way through January)...
I haven't watched much anime recently... just up to episode 25 of GaoGaiGar, which I find about 120% enjoyable, plus a bit more.
And a few episodes of Betterman, a few of Hokuto No Ken, the first ep of Mazinger Z... nothing much.
I've read the first 5 volumes of Maison Ikkoku and one volume of Genshiken too.
Mostly I've been gaming; Radiata Stories (PS2), Contact (NDS), Touch Detective (NDS), New Super Mario Bros (NDS), WTF (PSP), Disgaea Portable (PSP), Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess (Gamecube), Fire Emblem (Gamecube), Super Mario Kart (Gamecube & NDS), and various Taiko No Tatsujin games (PS2 & PSP)...
I have no focus! ^_^;;
Next on my list of stuff to watch is the rest of GaoGaiGar & its OAVs, the rest of Muteki Kanban Musume, the 1st ep of the new Marimite OAV, the start of the anime adaptation of Nodame Cantabile, and maybe some of the DVDs I have stacked up here... or maybe I'll just continue gaming...

I'm watching very little outside of the society meetings. -_- I'd like to watch more, but I never seem to find the time or have anything I'm dying to watch. I'm very slowly getting through Kyou Kara Maou, and I've been meaning to watch more than the first episode of Nobuta wo Produce (jDrama, not anime) for a very long time now ... it's kind of sitting on my shelf looking at me. I might watch some later. There are a couple of other jDramas I want to see. Gokusen 2 and Hana Yori Dango 2. I really can't wait to watch them!! =^^= I don't have them yet though. I also want to finish Azumanga Daioh, because I started that ages ago, and borrowed the manga from someone recently. =) Speaking of manga, I've been reading some Mars (I got volumes 5&6 for christmas) and I also re-read Gravitation recently. I forgot how wonderful it was!

I can copy them and have them back in the meeting on Friday if you want? (Assuming I can get my DVD burner to work with Linux ... ) =P

I watched "N.H.K ni youkoso" or "Welcome to the NHK" this weekend. It's the most depressing anime I've ever seen.
[stares blankly]
Don't watch it if you've just spent 3 weeks sitting in your room on your own with no outside contact (which I did, due to illness).
It was very good. I can't say that it's something I *enjoyed* as such, though. And I often got the feeling *this is going to happen* then it happens like I thought it would...
EDIT: oh yeah, and I don't think I've ever hated a main character quite as much as the main character in this, especially at the beginning, not since Ryvius (which is an excellent series btw).

I was considering watching Welcome to the NHK. I've been meaning to for a while in fact, but going by that it would possibly be best if I didn't. Something entertaining would be much better for me ^_^
I've recently just finished watching (well; I still haven't seen the final episode of) Kino no Tabi (Kino's Travels). Just my luck that Tom should independently decide to show it!
Well, at least it isn't a bad anime =)

Well, "Welcome To The NHK" isn't bad, and it's not boring... it's just not fun to watch.
I rewatched the "Adolescence Of Utena" film this evening. I love that film. It's really only going to make sense if you've seen the series, and even then... it explains some things but makes other things more confusing! But it's a very beautiful film; there's probably no other anime film I can think of where I'm so impressed by the work of the director-of-photography than this film. Always so stunningly beautiful, always the right angles, incredible backgrounds, so many symbolic effects, so perfect are the scenes...
Plus, after NHK.... well, the end of the Utena film is like how I wish people were in NHK... it kind of resolves the negative feelings I had after watching that other series. I can't explain it in a spoiler-free way, though!

I rewatched "Top o Nerae! Gunbuster" over the last week or so. I originally watched it many years ago on UK videotape, but this time I watched fansubs of a remastered uncut Japanese version (the UK version was censored).
It's even better than I remember! It's a very human kind of sci-fi/mecha show, and if you want to watch a series with strong and determined female lead characters, this is a good series for you. It also gives you a lot to think about concerning the passage of time. How people mean so much, and yet their lives are so brief in the vastness of time and space...
It's also got the most bizarre blatant fanservice. I mean, no anime I've ever seen before or since is so serious and yet so obviously fanservicey, without a hint of self-awareness. Normally fanservice is accompanied by something like a wink to the camera to say "you were looking! I know! you ought to be ashamed!! aw I didn't mean it, {{hug}}". And here... aside from the bath scene, it's just *service* *service* [please ignore this fanservice; it's entirely incidental; pay attention to the scene, please]
Not that I think it detracts from the series, I just thought it's unusual enough to comment on.

I'm currently watching Hunter x Hunter - when I'm not working that is. Yes, first years do get work.
