I think Honey and Clover is really sweet. It doesn't need explosions to be good. The shrimp hand thing is really creepy tho ... what the heck is that about? I really cannot see the vaguest link between the series, and that part of the intro.

There's supposed to be a link?
Well, perhaps it's because they're all Art students, and the shrimp hand is arty, as are all the other meals. It's like what modern art is supposed to be (as opposed to the bollocks that actually exists).

I think it's random and scary as hell!
as for neighbours being shite, yes it is, but it's so bad it's hard to grasp. it's become a regular thing to sit in Cuth's bar and laugh at it, it's not about real characters, and emotions, it's about writting so bad that consecutive scenes contradict themselves!

Cuth's bar ... scenes contradict themselves! Are you sure sitting in Cuth's bar is the place you will be coherent enough to understand it? Honey and clover is quite good from what I've seen, although I've only seen 3 episodes this term xP I like having something I can zone to like H&C, it is a welcome way to end the day after hours and hours of chemical bleh-ness.

Ok, I can see how laughing at the appaling writing would be amusing. But after a while, you must get sick of it. Or maybe being in a bar helps ...

it's a social event, you're with a big group of people, all laughing at it, that's what makes it entertaining, I wuldn't choose to watch it on my own
also I usually watch it at 13:40 which means I'm generally non-lashing

...which means I'm generally non-lashing I suppose everyone else is thankful for that. Or am I misinterpreting the meaning of "which"?

I'll have you knowe I'm an adorable happy drunkard (though admittedly I seem to have slowed down this term... any-one at the harry potter marathon last term might have seen me in full flow)

I don't remember you being very drunk at the HP marathon ... there were quite a few empty beer cans lying around at the end though ...
