Nasty question this; who should Tohru go for? Please keep spoilers out of this topic, and please don't let your reasons go beyond what we've seen in the society.
Personally, my money would have to be on Kyo! (sorry Yuki!)

it should be yuki, because it'll make it that much more heart-wrenching when he inevitably dies in the last episode.
Ah, come on, what an ending that'd be! ;D

Ok, darn. I voted Yuki but I so meant to put Shigure. I don;t care if he's too old for Tohru. He's my choice so I must defend it. Grrr, arf, grrrr, rowf!!

if I might raise a practical question at this point are they all male in that house (by which I mean is the one that turns into a rat male or female, I thought it was a she but in mondays episode "she" was in the mens side of the hot springs)

to drag it back on topic I think it'll be Yuki, though quite how they could possibly have her going with one without breaking the heart of the other is beyond me The thing about Yuki is Tohru see's in him (her) refflections of herself, at the hot springs when yuki goes outside to laugh, just like Tohru was struggling noit too. The most important thing though is they still have terrible things in their past, dark shaddows hanging over their shoulders Deep down Tohru knows Yuki suffers the same kind of pain as herself, there's something really deep between the two of them. I think Kyo just needs to grow up more, he's so immature, the characature of the sulky teen, whilst I can see how they could pair up together, they don't really seem to connect on the same level boy, I can't believe I'm giving this much thought to it

the thing is, yuki acts the way he does around everyone. true, he does like tohru, but he's just a naturally sweet person. i think it's a lot harder for kyo to act the way he does for tohru, and he really tries his best... out of the two i think kyo tries the hardest.
as to kyo, remember what kagura said about him first time u meet her (not going to say anymore) which is easily missed. and remember, he's the cat; the one of the zodiac no-one cared about, the one who was left behind, the outcast, and the unwanted. i feel sorry for him on that level.
don't get me wrong tho; that's why this topic is here. it's an impossible decision to make, i think.

Kyo is naturally agressive, he has great difficulty expressing himself in other ways, that's not neccesarily bad, it's just the way he is, but that's what makes it so entertaining to see him interacting with Tohru, he clearly has affection for her, but just lacks the way to deal with it, so he snaps from brief moments of understainding and sensitiveness to anger Now Yuki just strikes me as being rather emotionally immature, He too also has clearly deep affection for Tohru, but where-as Kyo is eternally chanelling his energy in the wrong direction, Yuki doesn't quite seem to be able to fully comprehend exactly what he's feeling take for example One of Mondays episodes when He was thinking to himself about how much had changed since Tohrus mother died, how he had no idea things would end up like they are now- litterally she was some-one he didn't know while now they live in the same house, he's wondering at how things change, he's trying to get over this idea in his head that he's become close enough to really care about her, and her about him too, it's Tohru that intervenes durin the confrontation between him and (damn I can't remember his name, you know the evil one)

I really think it's fair to say that there's no way of ending this without real heart-break, there simply isn't a right or "happy" ending to this

You do realise there is one happy solution to the "two guys like one girl"...
THREESOME!
Ok, as a first proper post goes I'm probably doing especially bad. Still, it has to be said!
In seriousness, I want it to be kyo because he's worked harder for it!

Curses, foiled for the first time, but not the last. Ah well, excellent excuse to add another post to my count Tbh, she's wanted by all of them really so it's a bit unfair to have just Kyo and Rat boy in the running. I'd offer (rather small) odds for an Ayame or Shigure Sensei event some time in the not-too distant future. Even Akito's probably got a chance

she's not really "wanted" by all of them, rather, she makes the rest of them feel that they can find someone else out there. hatori is the best case of that; i think that when he realises the similiarity between tohru and kana (spring coming when snow melts etc), it's not that he realises that he now has feelings for tohru, i've always thought that he realises that he does have other chances to be happy, and that he can't tie his life down to kana... but tohru herself is the happiness that kyo and yuki seek. just my opinion

she reminds them that there stil is joy in this world, but when I think about it Kyo really does have to go against his nature much more when dealling with tohru than yuki
as for the manage a troi idea, shut your mouths you filthy perverts, is there no innosence in the world
